Анотація

A variational Ritz-Tre↵ts method for constructing an approximate solution of a spectral problem describing free oscillations of an ideal fluid in co-axial conical tanks is developed. The method employs the harmonic functional basis (in curvilinear coordinates), which exactly satisfies boundary conditions on the solid walls of the reservoir. Natural frequencies and modes are illustrated for a wide range of the input geometric parameters.
