Abstract

An exponentially convergent method is constructed for an approximate solution of the boundary value problem for the convection-diffusion equation, which describes the process of propagation of pollution from moving sources of emission. The method is based on the representation of the solution by means of fundamental solutions and Sinc-quadrature formulas. Test calculations were conducted to simulate the spread of air pollution during the take-off of an airplane.
