Eigenoscillations of composite shell "tapered cone -- circular cylinder"
Abstract
A variational method for constructing an approximate solution of the spectral problem on the eigen non-symmetric oscillations of a shell of revolution constituted by cylindrical and tapered conical components is developed. A generalized functional with respect to the shell displacements is constructed whose necessary extrema condition naturally provides all transmission con- ditions. To find the extrema of the functional, the Ritz method is used. The numerical results are compared with computations by other authors.
