Abstract

This foreword presents some facts from the 100-year history of the Institute of Mathematics and the achievements of its founder.

In general, this volume of the Proceedings of the Institute of Mathematics, a periodical founded in 1938 by Professor D. Grave, include reviews related to advances in modern mathematics and the scientific preferences of leading scientists of the Institute of Mathematics of the NAS of Ukraine 100 years after the founding of the mathematical institution of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
