Problems of the variational calculus with movable ends and higher-order derivatives

Abstract

The necessary conditions for the existence of a weak local extremum in the Lagrange, Mayer, and Bolt problems with moving ends, derivatives of higher orders, and the boundary condition are determined. An example is given.
