Traveling avalanche waves in reaction-diffusion lattices

Abstract

We study traveling avalanche waves in one spatially discrete nonlinear reaction-diffusion lattices. Definition of avalanche waves are given and their existence is proved for the case of a cubic-like piece-wise linear interaction. Analytical expressions of velocities of the avalanche waves and profiles of these waves are obtained.
